“A Handbook for Disabled Employers
and their Personal Assistants”
Being the Boss has produced a comprehensive handbook with support from UnLtd, Choice Support and Nottinghamshire County Council. The handbook has sections on :-
1. Terms and Conditions of Employment.
2. Policies (Rules) relevant to employing Personal Assistants.
3. A section on General Information which includes examples of a Code of Conduct,
Bad Weather and House Rules to name a few.
4. Useful Contact Numbers
5. A wide variety of useful forms such as sample rotas, timesheets, holiday
forms etc.
Various sections of the handbook can be adapted to the Disabled Employer’s Needs. The handbook is free to Disabled Employers who are members of the Association of Disabled Employers (ADE); there is a charge of £10 for others.
